AMARANTHINE
AMARANTHINE, the project that i worked as Creative/Art Director and Fashion Designer while working for LaMode fashion club as a Head of Design Department.
Focus on depicting the withering of plants: moss on rotting wood, faded petals... the concept shows the ravages of time on what is fresh vitality young and beautiful already, like how people follow trends and throw away superfluous outfits. But fashion is a cycle, the old can always come back and bring unimaginable value. A forgotten garden sometimes hides hidden beauty.

On the one hand, the photoshoot is about the ravages of time on plants, decay, and decay: Deconstruction - is a trend that emerged in early 2020 and continues to this day, it talks about impermanence during the pandemic. One of the defining periods of this style was the 80's and early 90's during the crisis with the way designers like Martin Margiela, Rei Kawakubo etc... Fashion is always a mirror of the times, with this photoshoot expressing the desire to immerse in nature as well as use nature to forget the current crises and difficulties after the pandemic. Just like the early 90s after the financial crisis, people appreciate more what they have, which is nature and freedom.
On the other hand, use a lot of fabric, with layers on top of each other -> the problem of over-consumption and the volume of clothes being thrown away, creating huge environmental consequences.
AMARANTHINE focuses on two things: time and destruction. This can describe our present life on earth. We destroy nature too much by over-consumerism, throwing away so much that we forget about their destruction to the environment, to our own lives.
